Stranger Things Lunchbox

Bespoke work for Netflix Animation

Direction: Some sort of container (paper sack, lunch box, etc.)

Concept: Eager for Stranger Things Season 4, I went with an ‘80s-era lunch box, brought into 2020.

For this project, I gathered reference images for vintage lunchboxes to mimic how they would gather scratches, rust, dents, and edge wear.

The overall design is from real-world Stranger Things merch.

Rust: Hand painted detail with rust texture stencil and procedural material.
Scratches: Two-layered texture, scratches masked and hand-painted with scratch stencil.
